We must commit to consistently growing and evolving in our commitment to anti-racism. In both our education and action, our theory and practice (praxis). And we need to get comfortable moving beyond binary either/or thinking into the both/and in order to sustain this work as a lifelong commitment. It is absolutely essential that we learn from and follow the lead of BIPOC in this work AND also we must build a culture of white anti-racism. BIPOC cannot be expected to hold these complexities for us while they navigate the daily realities of white supremacy. Building white anti-racist community is essential to building the skills, tools, and frameworks to challenge white supremacy within ourselves, to leverage power and resources in white communities towards liberation, and in showing up fully and in integrity with the BIPOC folx that we are in solidarity with. # I highly encourage white folx to plug in with @showingupforracialjustice (there are chapters all over the country) and you can follow the LA chapter at @wp4bl .
