As a make up artist I’m truly interested first and foremost in who the person is I’m doing make up on. What do they love, who do they admire, what do they stand for, what is beauty to them? We are all such unique individuals, I don’t believe in templates especially when it comes to beauty. When someone sits in my chair I want to know as much as I can about them. At the end of the day I am just a creative conduit for their personal expression. I’m not placing my ideals on to them. If I’m honest that’s the part of my job that makes me the happiest. When I’ve helped someone channel some hidden piece of themselves they didn’t even realize existed. Then I’m like WOW I’ve done something important with my day.
