In the last few months there have been some new faces here and I thought this would be a great time to introduce myself to the new folks. My full name is Rachel Lynn Lindsay Abasolo but you can call me Big Rach. I added the new last name in 2019 when I married the love of my life @thebryanabasolo who I met *wait for it* on The Bachelorette. Yes, sometimes that crazy show actually does end with a happy ending. I truly believe in using my platform for a reason and for purpose. I believe in public service, that all black lives matter, in women’s rights, in self-care, in self love, and in the importance of just having a good time. I am hard-working, ambitious, and motivated, but most importantly I am rooted in faith. I am here to encourage you and uplift you so we can all do and be better. I was born and raised in Dallas (Oak Cliff), Texas but now live in Miami, Florida. I am a middle child in every sense of the word with 2 sisters. I went to the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘em) where I majored in sports management. Then I went to Marquette University Law School and graduated with a concentration in sports and criminal law. After six years of law practice and a failed five year relationship, I took a sharp left turn (which turned out to be the best decision ever) and went on The Bachelor. From there, I became the first black Bachelorette of the franchise, met my husband, and changed my entire career trajectory. So what do I do now? I am still a licensed attorney. I host a tv show on MTV @mtvghosted w/ my co-host @travismills (who just put out a fire new single). I have 2 podcasts: Higher Learning w/ @vanlathan (the brother I never wanted) and @bachelorhappyhour w/ my co-host and fellow former Bachelorette @bkoof . I also work for @espn and @extratv .
