ニーナ・ネスビットさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ニーナ・ネスビットInstagram)「my live shows wouldn’t be what they are without the team who help make it happen. whether it’s a tour manager, band members, lighting engineer, photographers, managers, sound engineer, hair, makeup, stylist, bus drivers, promoters, agents, venues, catering staff (I’m not that fancy lol but support tours have had great food), security, bar staff - AND SO MANY MORE. last year the UK’s live music industry brought in over £4.5bn to the economy and supported over 200,000 jobs. Up to 50% of the live music industry’s workforce are now unemployed and have no idea when/if they will be able to return to their jobs. I know this because many of my friends are wondering how they are going to make a living for the foreseeable future. 90% of grassroots music venues, probably the ones you love seeing your favourite artists at, are under serious threat of closure. Live music is such an important part of an artist’s career and income. I am lucky to be out of album cycle at the moment and privileged to be in the position I’m in but I know this is not the case for many others. until live shows can safely return we must speak up and demand our UK government support the venues, festivals, promoters, people in need.
