Northern Soul, a music and dance movement emerged in clubs in Liverpool & Manchester in the late 60s from the British mod scene. The genre is associated to a combination of stomping beats and soulful vocals, with notable examples such as Tony Clarke's 'Landslide' and R. Dean Taylor's 'There's a Ghost in My House'.
