I got into digital illustrating in April all thanks to quarantine, and now I spend 5+ hours a day transforming memories into art. I loved the simplicity and beauty in this piece. That was my first time doing details such as lips and jewelry. ”⠀ .⠀ .⠀ “As a Black illustrator, I use my voice to elevate other people in my community by sharing, sharing, sharing. I am continuously sharing other illustrators and educators on my art and personal instagrams to help share and inform my followers on the current race and gender issues.”⠀ .⠀ .⠀ “My dad raised me by always telling me my voice is powerful. I have to use my voice and educate others because society and our education system fails at this every single time. “⠀ .⠀ .⠀ “I chose art to express myself because it is relaxing and that creative outlet I’ve been searching for since I stopped sewing a year ago.
