A GF of mine @brittlovesmoothies posted to her page an image and simply expressed that she only took that one photo, not 20 frames trying to get the perfect shot.. it triggered something in me, I felt inspired by the idea and was moved to take this on myself. It’s been a week of only taking one photo or video and posting it straight away, literally ‘instant’ gram! It’s made the whole experience of sharing so much more freeing and enjoyable. It’s so liberating to care less about the look of things and giving up on saying the “right” thing “perfectly”. I read something today from one of my dear friends and teachers @tomcronin “The ego loves to be seen, or, is afraid of being seen”.. this resonated deeply, it’s often felt egotistical sharing on IG, which I’ve shy’d away from.. But in Truth, it’s also egotistical not fully wanting to be seen. This new way of being feels pure. I highly recommend giving this #oneshotwonder challenge (or should I say liberation) a go.
