Today, in honor of #SiahArmajani’s birthday, we’re flashing back to his 2019 retrospective shown at the @metbreuer.
Tracing Armajani's practice from his days as a political activist in Tehran in the 1950s to more recent works—including his landmark Dictionary for Building series of thousands of small-scale architectural maquettes—"Siah Armajani: Follow This Line” explored the aesthetic of exile and asked what the role of public art in America might be today.
