“I had just turned 16. I failed my driver’s test, went into a deep state of depression and then decided I needed a hobby, started YouTube and haven’t stopped since,” says @emmachamberlain, who in three short years has since amassed over 9 million subscribers on her YouTube channel alone—and even more followers on Instagram. “It’s kind of comforting and weirdly entertaining to watch somebody who you think you would be friends with do things, because it’s almost like you’re in the room with a friend. I think that’s the thing about YouTube that’s so special, is that people watch videos of pretty mundane things, and they’re still entertaining because people are entertaining.” In the bio link, #Vogue meets the 19-year-old, whose charming-yet-candid approach to the video platform has captured the heart of the internet, online and IRL. 📷 @jasperegan
