ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS FEATURE IN UNCUT

In celebration of today’s reissue of the Absolute Beginners original soundtrack, @uncut_magazine has a three page article featuring several of the main protagonists involved with the making of both Absolute Beginners (and the Bowie tracks contained therein), and Dancing In The Street.

Those involved who have contributed to the feature, are (alphabetically): Kevin Armstrong (Guitar), Clive Langer (Co-producer), Rick Wakeman (Piano) and Alan Winstanley (Co-producer).

We’ll leave you with this rather amusing anecdote from Clive Langer: “I remember we were working with China Crisis after that, and David came over to the studio – he was picking a tape up – and Eddie Lundon’s brother, who was roadying, was playing pool there. I walked in with David and he went, “Jesus Christ!”, and David went, “Yeah, close…””
