The attacker had been recently released from prison for a similar attack against another young girl. He had only spent a year in jail. He was not convicted of attempted murder because he let go of the young girl’s throat before she passed out. It’s sad to see that according to the UN, my home country has the highest rate of rape in Europe - 6,000 women’s lives ruined per year, that’s 20 a day, one per hour. The Swedes deserve better.
