It introduced me to the work of @jay_n_co and made me stop and think deeply about what I buy and consume and contribute to the world of waste. This show celebrates a diverse and highly specialized group of artisans and repair people that take beloved objects or furniture and restore them to a close to their original condition as possible. Along the way we get to see how this repair process shapes both the repairer and the object’s owner and that relationship is something that leaves me feeling hopeful. A rare feeling these days.
