To build a great V-Taper back, it’s advisable to know your back anatomy, that way you can choose the right exercises to develop each specific muscle.
These muscles include (from top to bottom):
▪️Trapezius (traps)
▪️Rhomboids
▪️Teres major and minor
▪️Insfraspinatus
▪️Latissimus Dorsi (lats) 👈 Biggest
▪️Erector Spinae
Of those listed above, your primary concern when wanting to achieve a ‘wide’ back will be your lats. However to achieve a great v-taper, be sure not to discount the contribution of the delts to the overall aesthetic, those lateral raises deserve as much effort as all those pulldowns and rows 👊🏾
