It was an older-style boat where fishermen still worked on the deck in all weather conditions to empty the nets and gut the fish before storing them in the hold. Going out at sea is not my thing, especially as we had terrible storms with very rough seas and you could be swept away by one of those gigantic waves that kept on rolling in. In spite of these terrible conditions, having to take pictures was a great help as it did not leave me much time to dwell on my fears. But the greatest comfort was the feeling of solidarity that prevailed on the boat. Though each individual had a specific job to do, you knew that if the going got tough you could count on the people around you.
