The bigger story here is of femicide and domestic violence. The fear that women across the globe face in different forms, daily, simply for being born a woman. Pinar’s story is a common one....sadly. The women of Turkey began this movement and protest to highlight the fact that the Istanbul treaty is not safe guarding women in their country, as they should be.
