She’s more than a meme. She’s more than a nonchalant hashtag you’re putting at the end of a caption under a selfie. Why are we attaching ANY levity to this horrific situation? I know people are well intentioned but we NEED to be more sensitive with our words. This innocent 26 yr old woman’s life was taken for NO REASON because the police acted impulsively and without regard for human life. I urge you to watch @trevornoah’s latest video unpacking this whole fiasco because somehow along the way, #arrestthecopswhokilledbreonnataylor became more of a trend and less of a public outcry for justice.
