Lembro que ele me levava com minha mãe, a praia completamente vazia, e eu amava surfar com ele me olhando. Até hoje, amo surfar quando ele tá assistindo. Isso me motiva! He has watched me surf since I first learned, to when I started competing, to when I won my first event, to when I became a world champion! but I think the one that is the most special is when I first started surfing. I remember the beach in our hometown was completely empty most of the time, and he would watch me surf. To this day, I love to surf when he’s watching. It motivates me!
