8/6。8/9。「平和」の意味がこの1枚で現れてる。この日のうちの一つは誕生日。子供の頃ワクワクしながら目覚めてテレビつけたら喪服に黙とうの映像ばかりで嫌だった。今考えてみるとそんな日に生まれて来た1人として「平和」と言う言葉をより一層大切にして生きて行こうと感謝の気持ちになる日。言葉で言うのは簡単。だけどこうやって行動へと結べるのって素直だし素敵だと思う。Thank you, Pres.Obama🙏🏻8/6 and 8/9 are both important days on the Japanese calendar. The 9th also happens to be my bday. When I was a kid I wud wake up with excitement, turn on the TV to only be filled with images of ppl crying, dressed in funeral wear, praying, and I used to feel so sad and frustrated that my special day was such a sorrowful day for the rest of the country. As I grow older though, I’m only filled with appreciation bc every year on my bday, I think about what #peace means to me. This picture of a true president, hugging an elderly Japanese gentleman that survived the atomic bomb, says it all to me. It signifies and represents that there is good in humanity. And that peace is not just a word, it can be achieved through willing beings. Thank u Pres.
