I remember I rented a place in a not so nice neighborhood with a buddy of mine for 147 EUROS a month. Yes it was that cheap. The reason why is because the place didn’t had central heating, gas to cook or even hot water. Looking back it was terrible and now I’m not able to repeat that again, but back then I didn’t care at all. I was happy I had my own place.
