In 1976, RIMOWA developed the Tropicana, the brand’s first waterproof camera case – a ground-breaking innovation for professionals in filmmaking and photography whose equipment was previously subject to water, humidity, tropical heat, and arctic cold. In the coming years, RIMOWA would go on to perfect the range releasing a number of professional camera cases across varying collections, which up until today hold a special design cult status all their own.
