Now, Oprah Winfrey is amplifying the calls for justice. On Friday, Winfrey and @oprahmagazine revealed that they erected 26 billboards in and around Breonna’s hometown, not only to commemorate the slain emergency room technician, but also to demand that the police officers who shot and killed her in March are arrested and charged accordingly. Each billboard features the same image of Breonna that Winfrey used on the front of the September issue of @oprahmagazine, which was the first time Winfrey herself did not appear on the publication’s cover in 20 years.
