After the group disbanded, it was a very dark time in my life and I was in such a weak mental state. And that’s when people around me kept giving me input I never once asked for. I was never really sure if it was meant to be comforting, inspiring, or if they were JUST SAYING stuff to say stuff. ‘That's not what you should go for. You've done enough. You're too old for this now. Find a good man and get married.’ I never once said I'd quit this, I never asked for direction, I never asked for my life’s plan. I’ve done enough? You don't know my goal, you don’t know how far I can still go from here, you don’t know what this all means to me. You might think I'm doing this for fun because it does look fun and glamorous on the outside, but you could not be more wrong. I felt so many negative emotions towards everything they had said and at the same time, I ended up hurting myself staying up all night thinking about it, attaching so much meaning to each and every single word. It definitely didn’t help me getting back on my feet. People like to talk about others, judge others, and advise others without consideration. You gotta know that talking without thinking can inadvertently hurt someone, or even change someone's life. In my new single 'I Don't Care,' I wanted write a song with a special message to those who also feel hurt and confused by what others say. You're the only one who knows what you truly want. You just walk your way with the tempo you want as you planned. It's YOUR life. Don't let anyone take control of it. It’s YOU that make the choices for your life, and take responsibility for what you do. You may regret your decisions in the future, but that’s the regret for your own choices. You never wanna wake up one day and cry blaming others, making excuses. The way you want to be, the life you want to live, it's all up to you.
