When I went vegan, I lost weight. I felt great as my thyroid upregulated to help deal with the influx of bad vegetable fats that slow cellular metabolism.

Then, I started to get cold. To get sick. To get injured. To yell at people.

The joint pain returned as the vegetable toxins accumulated in my joints no matter how much kale I had.

So what did I do? I doubled down. Ate more kale. Because I knew the vegan diet had worked. It even trashed my sleep eventually. (By the way, today is the last day to sign up for the sleep challenge I am hosting – just DM the word SLEEP to me and I will teach you how to sleep like a boss).

I did a lot more damage before I figured out what I now call “the vegan trap.”

It’s fine to go vegan for a week or a month. Long-term, it’s bad for your mind, bad for your body, bad for your spirit, and bad for the planet because we need animal poop to make soil.

It takes two years to replace half the fat in your cell membranes. If you’ve been vegan for two years, it’s going to take two years to fix your cell metabolism fully once you add grass fed butter and meat back into your life.

Simon is going to heal a lot faster because he is getting animal fat and animal protein in his diet now!

Now we just have to get him to go grass fed so it will be good for the planet too!
