コリー・ロバートソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (コリー・ロバートソンInstagram)「Real life post for your Monday: 12 adults, 2 babies, 1 house, 5 tents, a 15 passenger van, so much food, lots of laughter, a few tears (mostly from laughing, but also from a sentimental moment because our babies are heading off to college, and because actual babies cry sometimes) With all of that, everything went incredibly smoothly! ⠀ UNTIL the last leg of our flight home. We were heading to our gate when the sky shuttle at DFW rode right past E terminal. It literally sped up as we went past. We thought “that was weird” and we got back on to ride back to E the other way; we passed it up again! The announcement finally came over the speaker that because of a “security threat” we would not be stopping at E. Don’t know exactly what it was, very thankful for the airport security doing their job! Will, Rowdy, Bella and Jacob were already at the gate and were actually boarding the plane by this time. We talked to them and thankfully they were fine. The rest of us were stuck. ⠀ Sooo we missed our flight, the last flight of the night to our hometown with 8 adults and 2 babies and no luggage. We jumped on a shuttle, rented 2 suburbans (finally after 5 different rental companies told us they were totally sold out) stopped at a Walmart bought a car seat, and finally made it home at 1:30am. ⠀ ⠀ All of this to say, things don’t always go as planned, the unexpected happens, sometimes you have to go to plan B, or C or D. I think we’re all on at least plan D for 2020 right?!? Don’t let that stop you from smiling in the adventure!!
