It is not an exaggeration to say that this is my absolute dream publisher. The fact that I get to join the iconic house that published names like Julia Child, Edna Lewis, Madhur Jaffrey, Marcella Hazan, @lidiabastianich, @nancysilverton, @joan_nathan, Marion Cunningham, @debperelman, Penelope Casas and many, many more, is, frankly, a childhood dream come true. 📚 It has been a wild journey to get here. A book I pitched to @lexybloom back in November of last year was put on hold indefinitely after a great many things happened that were beyond all of our control. We were all stuck in what felt like infinity purgatory, and then in March, Iliza and I started #dontpanicpantry. That purgatory has continued, and here we are, 130 episodes later. Over that time, the idea for this book evolved thanks to the incredible direct feedback and support of our show's fans ("The Ham Swirls"). Now it will become The Don't Panic Pantry Cookbook and my brilliant wife will write the foreword (but not the recipes...you all saw what happened when I went out of town). 🍖 So what happens to #dontpanicpantry? Well, I have more great news. Since I don't have the time or brain capacity to write recipes for cookbooks and the show, we are going to get a helping hand from the unbelievable and historic @knopfcooks back catalogue. That's right, @ilizas and I will be hand picking and posting recipes from some of the greatest cookbooks of all time and you all will get to continue cooking along with us, twice a week (unless we're both out of town), indefinitely.
