The reason I do this isn’t because I’m invested in the often disputed benefits of ‘fasted cardio,’ it’s simply because it’s the time I am most motivated to do it. ⁣ ⁣ If I leave even the slightest gap between waking up and jumping on that bike, there’s a chance I just won’t bother 😅🤷🏾‍♂️⁣ ⁣ Performance ⁣ ⁣ If I haven’t ticked off my cardio in the am, then I will always choose to hit my cardio AFTER my weight training. The reason for this is I want my energy to be at its peak during my weight training, as that is my priority. Once the heavy lifting is complete, I’m happy to walk on the stairmaster or ride the exercise bike until I’m drenched in sweat.⁣ ⁣ If burning fat is your main goal, then by all means get that cardio in first and really use that initial energy!
