It was my first time in Africa and we had the most incredible few weeks exploring the Iringa region of Tanzanian highlands. It was also my first time in the southern hemisphere which I was super excited about (yes things like these do hype me up!🤓😂) But what I had forgotten is that it was winter here, and I had no clue that our internship was located rurally at quite an altitude in the middle of miles of tea fields all around - which made the location even colder. Luckily the people taking care of us were the kindest souls and brought us jackets when they realised we didn't have enough warm clothes! · I went on this trip with quite an open mind, but the one thing I really did expect was incredible sunsets. Looking back now, I remember we'd walk from the guest lodge out into the tea fields across from us everyday in hope of seeing the sky painted all sorts of colours. And it's crazy to think that we didn't actually see that many, until the LAST DAY!! My friend flew back from Iringa to Dar Es Salaam a day before me and after completing the last bits of work, I grabbed my camera and a cup of tea and headed out into the same tea field to see this!! 😌💖 THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SKY AND LAYERS OF FOREST AND DUSK-TIME MIST ROLLING AS FAR AS THE EYE COULD SEE. 🥺 · This sunset was MAGICAL.
