With winds at 115 mph, Hurricane Laura was a Category 3 storm on Wednesday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center. Laura rapidly intensified overnight and may become an extremely dangerous Category 4 storm before making landfall Wednesday night or early Thursday near the Texas and Louisiana border, forecasters say.
