Hey. I know these thoughts sound crazy. But the status quo is waaaaay crazier. Investing in social services, in green spaces, in education, in roads, makes more sense to me than militarized police forces and prisons that function as a business opportunity. I don’t want to read about dads being shot in front of their kids by a city employee. I don’t want the firefighting system to be overwhelmed when California doesn’t have prisoners to do the labor. That’s not acceptable. We need to do some real thinking about justice and what it is. #abolition
