Yet another tragedy in a long line of tragedies. At around the same time in our nation, the RNC included on its list of speakers a couple who pointed guns at unarmed protestors. I drew this picture when I was maybe eight years old. My dad had written me a story and this was my illustration of the main character. Forget my obvious lack of talent, and you can see the optimism that I have for the future. It’s my real spirit when I think of my lovely and kind wife on her birthday, and it’s the drawing that I want every member of our country to be able to draw when they’re eight years old.
