This afternoon, we were informed that an employee at our Vineyard location tested positive for COVID-19. The employee last worked on Sunday, Aug. 23. Upon returning home Sunday, the employee learned that another household member had tested positive, so our employee was able to be tested on Tuesday, Aug. 25. As a precaution, Vineyard management did a heavy sanitation the same day, Tuesday, Aug 25, and after closing, the location did another, deeper sanitation of both front and back of house. The employee received their results today, Thursday, Aug. 27 and informed management. We do not believe this case to be related to the other positive case at this location last week, as the affected employees did not work together. We are working with public health authorities to ensure that this is the case. Because of the two prior sanitation procedures, take-out at Vineyard remains open, though the dine-in restaurant is closed due to government mandates. We wish our affected employee a swift recovery.
