'Why don’t we celebrate differences?' Racism and inequality are so foreign to us as a family in the way that we raise our kids and operate, but it was important that we discussed these issues with our kids. As much as we might want to protect and isolate them from the facts, they need to be aware of the current climate of our nation and how they can be a part of the solution.
