When tragedy happens, It often takes me a while to process it.
I go into the instant caretaker mode to be vital for those around me that are in pain.

Obviously, it has been a challenging year for all of us but particularly for black people. It often feels like we can’t catch a break. Along with loved ones, we are losing such instrumental figures in our community who have helped to inspire our children.

Chadwick has inspired and impacted so many people that I love dearly. Seeing them all in pain makes me very sad, and I wish I could fix it.

Chadwick, thank you for everything you have done. For living in your purpose. Fighting to tell our stories all while you were in such pain. Thank you for your sacrifice and courage. Your legacy will live on forever!

I’m sorry to all my dear friends and colleagues that were so close to Chadwick. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sure he would want you to continue being strong and continue to help tell the kind of stories he would have.
