Hi everyone! It’s Jeanine Hays and Bryan Mason from @aphrochic. We’re thrilled to be taking over the D*S feed this week to chat about all things AphroChic Magazine.

What is #aphrochicmag? We are a print and digital publication that’s dedicated to celebrating creativity and culture across the African Diaspora. Throughout the week we’ll be giving you a taste of what each issue offers - from house tours, to recipes and in-depth cultural conversations.

Despite contributing massively to American and world culture, less than 5% of all owned media in the United States is Black-owned. That means that, no matter how much of the culture we create, we rarely have the ability tell our own stories in our own voice or give our own perspective on who we are.
