The other day, as Tux was enthusiastically greeting me at the door and peeing on my shoes from the sheer excitement caused by my presence (I’m kind of a big deal), I was thinking about my time being an extra on the TV show Scrubs many many years ago. Every main cast member had a dog on set with them. And in between scenes (that were often stressful because even well-funded comedies have a schedule to keep) they’d head back to their trailers and those loving dogs and be treated like they were the best thing in the world and could do no wrong.   I’ve spent quite a bit of brain space over the last many years thinking about unconditional love. It’s one of the themes baked into the story of Hosea and our upcoming @HoseaFilm. One of the things I’m learning is how important it is for us to believe we are loved in order for that love to matter at all. I think that’s a challenge many of us face; believing that - if we were fully known, with all our mistakes and flaws - we’d still be loved. We’d still be wanted.
