I got 3 of my toes amputated back in 1993 due to a accident at school and I have had problems with it every since. I have poor balance and can fall over easy. My ankle is weak and it’s easily sprained. I have scar tissue in the foot itself plus arthritis and cold weather effects it. I can’t stand or walk long without it hurting me and sometimes it’s painful even when I don’t do anything. I’ve been following City The Kitty for years and I have seen them attacked for trying to end declawing. Most of the common things people say are, “my declawed cat is ok” & “my declawed cat had no problems” and it angers me. You’re not one of us! You don’t know how painful it is! And you don’t know by looking at us if we are in pain or not. I can also look like I’m not in pain when I am in pain. Medical professionals use a pain chart to ask us what pain level we are in, but you can’t ask a cat that."
