It’s the first book in our new series and we’re so excited to share this story with the world. It’s a super fun, fast-paced, middle-grade mystery adventure. This first step into storytelling off the ice is inspired by so many things that Maia and I love and believe in. Sports, culture, travel, and food. Family, friendship, respect, and teamwork. We’re very proud of what we’ve created. The main characters of our series are Mika and Andy Kudo - two Japanese American siblings (like us) who travel around the world and work together to solve mysteries. We loved reading when we were kids and we know we would’ve loved to have followed the Kudo Kids on their adventures together. We believe in the power of stories - it’s everything. Books take us to far away places and allow us to imagine new ideas and possibilities. They help us see ourselves and the world in a different light and have the power to transcend barriers and build bridges. It is through stories that we can experience things together. And during these times when all of us feel the distance between one another, we hope this story and these characters can help bring us closer together.
