Spotted: Giant koala making a splash at Apollo Bay 🤭 🐨 How lucky was @vanessa_snap_happy to see this furry fellow soaking up some beach scenery in the @visitgreatoceanroad region of Victoria earlier this year. Of course, this koala isn’t really super-sized, but funnily enough, #koalas in the southern parts of Australia are actually considerably larger and have thicker fur than those in the north; a rather clever adaption for the cooler winters in the south. The nearby #CapeOtway is a great area to see koalas in the wild when travel permits, just don’t forget to look up! #seeaustralia
