One day I will tell the story of what it was like to be on a plane at that time, to not understand why we were “being grounded in a national emergency”, to call my cousin & ask her to turn on the news to see if anything was going on, to hear her scream when I told her I was on a plane... & then to land safely when so many others did not. When so many beautiful humans were calling their loved ones & courageously saying their goodbyes while being terrified & clinging to one another in their final moments. Knowing that there was nothing they could do. Knowing that they innocently got on a plane to provide for families they would never see again... Thank you to all of the first responders that were there & continued to be in the weeks/months that followed. Thank you to those who lost their lives trying to protect us & rebuild.
