On this particular swell, after hearing rumors of a glassy afternoon with nobody out, I headed to Newport Beach hoping to document a session in the evening light. I was met with a good sized south swell, crowds of surfers and an onshore sea breeze. It wasn't ideal conditions but decided to go for a swim and hope for the best. As the sun went down over the horizon the wind switched offshore grooming the ocean surface for those last few minutes of dusk. This was special because all elements came together at the perfect time. The wave peeled along the sand bar and the full moon rose up from the east creating a surreal moment."」9月17日 23時00分
