Born Zhang JiaCheng in Eastern China, Shanghai-based LESLIE ZHANG experimented as a painter before turning to photography—a background resonant here, in his reinterpretation of traditional Chinese scroll painting. “Photography is two-dimensional, just like the discipline of painting, but in it there is also a stronger sense of space and time,” he says. “The models create a sense of liveliness in a very still and serene construct.”

@LeslieZhang1992 synthesizes ancient and modern in his work. For the latest series of #MonclerVoices, Zhang adds his POV to the chorus of artists responding to the question What Does Moncler Mean to You?
