Le paysage bucolique est parsemé de violettes, symboles de l'humilité de la Vierge, et d’ancolies, symboles de la Passion du Christ. - 🌿Le titre, devenu si célèbre, de La Belle Jardinière apparait seulement au XVIIIe siècle. Il assimile poétiquement la Vierge Marie à une simple paysanne aux pieds nus se reposant avec des enfants pendant les travaux des champs. - ✨A l’occasion des 500 ans de la mort de Raphaël, le Louvre a fait restaurer l’une de ses plus belles madones de jeunesse. L’allègement des couches de vernis a permis de retrouver une palette claire et brillante. Les carnations ont regagné leur éclat divin et le ciel a retrouvé sa teinte d’un bleu lapis-lazuli éclatant.
