I was amazed to meet and shoot this group of Huancos dancers, who represent Inca warriors and have kept their traditions through times of so much change. Like me, they are from Lima, but they are from the mountains and I’m from the coast, where we sometimes forget about traditions. Being Peruvian is to grow up surrounded by an incredible heritage, and sometimes we stop seeing the beauty just because it is there all the time. Through Alta Moda I want to celebrate Peru’s traditions and share them with the world.

Me encantó conocer y fotografiar a este grupo de bailarines de la danza de Los Huancos, quienes representan a los guerreros incas y han mantenido sus tradiciones a través de tiempos de tanto cambio. Como yo, son de Lima, pero son de los andes y yo de la costa, donde a veces nos olvidamos de las tradiciones. Ser peruano es crecer rodeado de una herencia increíble, y a veces dejamos de ver la belleza solo porque está ahí todo el tiempo. A través de Alta Moda quiero celebrar las tradiciones del Perú y compartirlas con el mundo.
