In common with the rest of the UK, domestic violence has increased in Northern Ireland during the pandemic. Charity @belfastwomensaid provides confidential support, information and emergency accommodation for women and children affected by domestic violence. Women are free to stay in a refuge as long as they feel they need to. Their children are offered one-to-one support and guidance. Meanwhile in Co. Antrim, The Prince of Wales visited @hendersonfoodservice, who have been distributing food and grocery-related products for over 100 years. During the pandemic, it’s staff worked to meet unprecedented demand to keep supermarket shelves stocked.
