White supremacy is a tool used by the white wealthy elite to create and maintain division in order to more effectively keep power in the hands of the few. Class solidarity among poor and working class people of all races holds some of the greatest possibility for creating real change. And it is why stories like this have been absent from most of the history that we have learned. The truth is, there is and always has been, fierce white anti-racist resistance to white supremacy in the South. I am grateful for orgs like @fight4thesouth @showingupforracialjustice doing that work. #blacklivesmatter #unions #rednecksforblacklives
