This team run is about more than traversing 850 km and 55,000 m vertical gain through the Alps. The 10 athletes are doing it to mark how far Europe has come since the wars of the 20 century. They will run along the WW1 front line in the Alps where Italian and Austrian mountain troops battled one another. The eight day adventure will start in Grado next Tuesday and finish at Stelvio Pass, passing Sexten and Riva, through the heart of the Dolomites.
