Introducing Larry, the craftsman who helped develop the Maud over 25 years ago in this magical workshop in the garage of his house. Every night, Anya would drive there and they would work together on making bags. On the days she didn’t go to the garage, she would meet him in Ladbroke Square and they would back up their cars to each other boot to boot. Anya would empty raw materials into Larry’s car and he would empty his boot of finished handbags into hers. They worked on patterns together and had very few metal ‘fittings’ in the early days so would make things from materials they found at B&Q.
