The project on display is titled “Take Shelter”. “I came home to my family and I realised that most of my assignments were being cancelled, so I started photographing my brothers.” says the artist. “They were bored and not doing anything so they were letting me photograph them again like back when we were kids.” About the artist - Cécile Smetana is a French/Danish photographer. When working on personal projects her main subject of interest is Identity, with a visual focus on childhood. Cécile has worked as a photographer across Europe, Central Africa, the US and Mexico since 2010. Although these countries are far apart, geographically, culturally and economically, she strives to maintain a visual red thread in her photographs.
