This week’s episode is incredibly important to us. We sit down with the remarkable Dr. Edith Eva Eger. A native of Hungary, Eger is a 93 year old survivor of the Holocaust. Dr. Eger is a clinical psychologist, author and lecturer who has used her painful experience to teach healing and forgivingness in her groundbreaking books and teachings in psychology.

In our podcast, Edith shares her horrific experiences in Auschwitz as a teenager, and her life’s journey after the camps were liberated. Oprah said it forever changed her life upon meeting Edith.

Antisemitism is at an alarming high in the United States and around the world. One survey showed that 2/3 of millennials don’t know what Auschwitz is. Disinformation and lack of education has erased one of the darkest chapters in history from our collective consciousness. We need to raise awareness about the genocide, and the consequences of antisemitism when left unchecked.

This will be a difficult episode to listen to, but Mandana and I feel the story of Dr. Edith Eva Eger must be heard and shared around the world. We also want to celebrate the resiliency of the human spirit. As you will learn, Edith not only survived, she fought her way to the US, created a family and earned her Doctorate in Psychology. Edith, emerging from Hell, became a Healer.
