今日は海外旅行の日✈️本日より3投稿はCDW社員による「私を変えた旅」をお送りします。第一回目は新卒入社の浅野から😊

私の記憶に強く残る旅は大学3年生の時に行ったイギリス・ロンドンです。それまでも海外旅行や短期留学に行ったことはありましたが、常に‘誰か’と一緒でした。将来やりたいことが見えないまま、迫る「就活」にただ漠然と焦っていた大学3年生の夏。どうにか自分を変えたいと、一人でロンドンに行くことを決めたのはそんな時でした。

正直、この旅行を通して自分が成長したか？大きく変わったか？と聞かれたら、そうでもないかもしれません。ただ、友達にも親にも頼らず、「すべて自分で調べ、考え、自分で決めて行動する」という体験は確実に自分への自信につながりました。なんとなく自分に自信が持てるようになると、おのずと自分の長所や自分が本当に好きなことにも気づけるようになりました。この経験のおかげで自分が仕事でやりたいことが見えてきたといっても過言ではありません。自分の良さに気づくきっかけをくれた場所、それがロンドンであり、私にとっては今でも記憶に残る大切な旅行のひとつです。

One of my most memorable trips was London, England, which I visited during my third year of college. Before that trip, I had travelled and studied abroad, but I was always with someone. I was starting to worry about having to search for a job after graduation because I didn’t know what I wanted to do in the future. Therefore, I wanted to make a change... and that is when I decided to go to London by myself.

If you asked me whether this trip helped me grow or changed my perspective significantly, honestly, I cannot say that it did with confidence. However, without relying on my friends or parents, the experience of preparing everything by myself, thinking, deciding and acting on my own, definitely gave me renewed self-confidence.
As I became more confident in myself, I naturally became aware of my strengths and what I enjoyed doing. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that this experience made me realize what I want to do for work. London is the place that changed the way I see myself, and it is still one of my most memorable trips.
